Wat Doi Suthep & White Meo (Hmong) Hilltribe
Want to see the Hmong hilltribe people in a more naturalised setting without it appearing so commercialised? Then this is the tour for you.
Just 18 kilometres from Wat Doi Suthep into the mountains of Doi Suthep Pui National Park, is a White Meo Hilltribe. It is a relatively unspoiled hilltribe village which has not seen the affects of tourism enter daily life. In fact, to better negotiate the narrow, mountainous, dirt road a local Songteow has to be used to get you there. (The Songteow is a common method of transport in Thailand, used as a means of public transportation in many parts of the country. Basically it is just a covered, open-air Pick-Up with a row of seats stretching down both sides of the vehicle.).
The visit to the hilltribe will be taken following a stop at the famous temple of Wat Doi Suthep.
